Square peg, round hole

False words, too shallow, too high
layer awkward upon uncertain
and distract while they deceive.

Scattered thoughts, a mosaic of vulnerabilities,
reveal disjointed desires
that announce what would be silent.

Timid grin, too broad, too brittle,
pauses a tongue wagging on
and breaks a noisy quiet.

Deep sigh, a brace for further action,
fails to garner strength
so the scenes remain static.
